¿Qué grifería se usa con un lavabo sobre encimera?

Con lavabos sobre encimera se usa habitualmente grifería de caño alto (también llamada grifería de repisa o de encimera) que se instala directamente sobre la encimera junto al lavabo, o grifería de pared que sale del tabique trasero. ¿Qué encimera se necesita para instalar un lavabo sobre encimera?

El lavabo sobre encimera se apoya simplemente sobre una encimera plana que puede ser de porcelánico, madera hidrófuga, piedra natural, Corian o similar. La encimera debe ser suficientemente resistente para soportar el peso del lavabo y tener los taladros necesarios para la grifería. ¿Los lavabos sobre encimera son más difíciles de limpiar?

La unión entre el lavabo y la encimera puede acumular algo de cal o humedad si no está bien sellada, pero en general los lavabos sobre encimera son igual de fáciles de limpiar que los integrados. La ventaja es que el exterior del lavabo queda totalmente accesible para limpiar todas sus superficies. Recomendamos usar sellador de silicona específico para baño en el perímetro del lavabo para evitar la acumulación de suciedad en la unión.
